zion music

Sonja Holmgren, choir director

Music is an inspirational part of worshiping God. And at Zion the music will always inspire you to glorify the Lord all the more, whether accompanied by the pipe organ, baby grand piano, or the Praise Team. Not only that, but you're invited to share your musical talents in the traditional choir and/or in the contemporary Praise Team!

  • zion choir

The Zion Choir sings twice each month during traditional services.  The Traditional service is based on the historic Christian liturgy with traditional hymns accompanied by the organ.

  • Praise  team

The Praise Team sings twice a month during contemporary services.  The Contemporary service blends liturgy with more modern songs and styles, led by our Praise Team.

    Meet The Kempters

Chaz, Nathan, Danielle, JoAnna, Chris & Charli.

A Surprisingly Refreshing Experience Of Energetic, Disciplined And Gifted Southern Artists.

Just a taste of what people are saying about The Kempters. We are a team, but we are also friends - a family that has been through the fire and together we have faced our share of storms. It's been said that we are a force to be reckoned with. On this page you will get a look at the things we do besides music. The kids were all homeschooled and throughout their lives have never backed down from a challenge. If we didn't know how to do something we just learned! The skills we have are too numerous to name here, but we will add many as we can.

In 2008 we started playing music and by the end of 2009 we were preforming full time. We started out calling ourselves Bluegrass Gospel, but quickly learned that we were not Bluegrass! We changed over to Vintage Gospel, because you can't argue with it. Our music is very unique and we cover a wide range of genres. People say we have a little something for everyone.

" WE PRAY THAT THE SMILES ON THE OUTSIDE WILL BE A TESTIMONY TO THE JOY ON THE INSIDE. IT IS TRULY OUR JOY TO SHARE THE FAITH AND HOPE WE ALL HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS!"

What is camper's choir?

For over 50 years, the second Sunday of August has been known as “Camper’s Chorus”. This is an opportunity for anyone (friends, neighbors, visitors, etc.) to join the Zion Choir for a day and sing at the 10:00 a.m. service. In the past, songs such as “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus” have been sung. One rehearsal right before service is encouraged. If you have questions, please call Sonja Holmgren at 218- 731-7068.
