As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

 

All women who are members of Zion Lutheran Church are members of WELCA, and are encouraged to attend all of the events hosted by WELCA.

 It is our goal to encourage the women of Zion to become more aware of the importance of our organization, to become more involved and make it a priority in their lives.

​

The Zion WELCA meets four times a year for general meetings. The months are April, August, October and November. The months of May, June, July, September and December we have special fund raisers. Please read The Tidings for dates and times of these events.

A Thank offering occurs once a year and is designated and given to the Church wide Women's Organization in Chicago.

​

Zion Lutheran has four Circles. You are welcome to join any of them and participate in their monthly Bible Studies.
